LEANNE BAXTER, LMT
Leanne's interest in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork began as a personal healing journey, and now with over 15 years of service in this field, she continues to discover new levels of awareness in and appreciation for the human body. Teachers and mentors such as Eric Dalton, Elaine Petrone and Thomas Hannah have influenced her perception and knowing of the body’s capabilities to heal through attention and movement. The body is designed to not only move, but to move freely throughout this joyous life experience. Leanne feels a deep sense of satisfaction knowing that she is part of an ever growing body of practitioners engaged in service to those individuals seeking alternative care.
Melissa is a Licensed Massage Therapist providing therapeutic massage, Craniosacral therapy and Reflexology. Her focus is to help people reconnect with body by relieving pain and discomfort. She respects the body as a unified system including the nervous, lymphatic and muscular systems as well as the fascial network. She believes that the uninhibited, natural function of the combined systems is the key to comfort in the body and that comfort in the body is a foundation for an enjoyable life. Honoring the needs of the body and calming the mind, allows us to access to our innate wisdom, find balance within and heal by restoring the systems to their natural rhythm.
Melissa listens. She inquires about the daily activities and movements that cause discomfort and then uses her knowledge of anatomy to develop a plan that incorporates release of both muscular and fascial restrictions. Melissa's trained hands and intuition explore areas of discomfort providing appropriate pressure to match resistance and thus provide release and relief. Her patients feel wonderful during and after their session.
Melissa loves learning and is continuously increasing her knowledge by pursuing additional training and certification. In addition to attending continuing education classes, she enjoys reading books, the outdoors and travel. In her spare time you will find her camping and hiking. Her goal is to visit all of the National Parks and National Forests with her two teen-age sons.
